Let the students learn how to use your clues to support your idea.

教学步骤:
I. Pre-reading Presentation
1.Freely talk: What pets do you have? Can you describe them? Then the teacher shows some pictures to them and encourages them to talk about the pets.
2.New words: Group work to remember the new words. Then lead the students read the words correctly.
3.Look at the pictures, the title, the introduction and the sub-heading of the article on page 83. Then answer the questions below.
II. While-reading Procedure
Fast reading:Read the text quickly and answer the questions of B on p82.
1.Show the Ways of fast reading and the task: answer the following questions: 1.What do you think the article about? 2. Who likes keeping a pet? Who doesn‘t?
2.Fill the blanks about the text and find out the useful expressions and structures in the text.
3.Organize the students to work in groups to comprehend the text and deal with the questions.
4.Show some pictures by PPT, and explain the usage of the important phrases and the main language
5.Ask students to finish the exercise of vocabulary according to the title and the sub-heading
III. Post-task Activity
Do more practice and work in group to check the answers.
IV. Homework
