2. To learn to revise, redraft and improve their writing

3. To learn more about our Chinese traditional festivals and culture

Pre-writing:

Step1:  Warm up:

１. Revise different festivals we learned in the unit, especially pay attention to the date and activities.

２. Tell students we can also make a writing plan to help us organize our ideas to write an article except making notes. Take “Halloween” for example. Ask students to review Reading, try to make a writing plan.

３. Introduce another Chinese festival --- the Spring Festival.

According to Part A, ask Ss to finish Part B. And then check their answers.

４.   Ask Ss to pay more attention to four aspects if they want to write a better article:

1)  Contents; 2) Expressions and structure; 3) Handwriting; 4) Checking

５. Ask Ss to list more activities that we can do at the Spring Festival

６. Ask Ss try to use different expressions to write this article. Analyze the structure of this composition: and encourage Ss to pay attention to the advs and conjs.
