Step 1.Revision＆lead-in
1. Do you remember how to read the following words ?
Cake be bike go computer
And how to read the vowels ?
/eɪ/ /i:/ /aɪ/ /əʊ/ /ju:/
2.Do you know how to read the words ?
Cap desk big box but
Let’s learn some vowels
/æ/ /e/ /ɪ/ /ɒ/ /ʌ/
Step 2.Presentation
The sounds of the letters are different from the sounds of the letters
themselves. They are also different the sounds in Unit 1 and each sound
is short .
Read the words in the box , pay attention to the pronunciations of the
letters in bold .
开音节和闭音节的含义：
开音节分两种,绝对开音节和相对开音节。
绝对开音节：以发音的元音字母结尾的音节。相对开音节：辅音字母-1元音字母-辅音字母-不发音e 结尾的音节 ( re除外 ) 。〔在开音节中, 元音字母发他们在字母表中的音〕
闭音节：辅音字母-1元音字母-辅音字母 的音节 ( -al等除外) 在闭音节中,元音字母发不同的音 a e i o u 例 sat let sit not
Step 3.Presentation
1. Look at the words in Part A .Can you read them and put them under the correct sound groups ?
/æ/ happy bad /e/ get well /ɪ/ listen swim
/ɒ/ clock often /ʌ/ club fun
2. Pay attention to the vowel letters in these words. How to read them?
Please read after me and try to imitate my pronunciation.
The sounds of the vowel letters are not the same as the sounds of the letters themselves.
Step 4. Practice
1. Part B . Look at the groups of words . Do you know how to read the new words according to the sound of the first word in each group .
2. Read the words after the tape .
3. Practice reading the words many times .
Step 5.Pratice
1.Part c Read the phrases below .Pay attention to the bold letters.
