作形容词，意为“不说话的；沉默的”。常用短语keep/remain silent，意为“保持沉默”。

such＋a/an＋可数名词单数形式，意为“如此一个……”。
►see sb.doing sth./see sb.do sth.
①see sb.doing sth.意为“看见某人正在做某事”。
②see sb.do sth.意为“看见某人做了某事”。

used to do sth.意为过去常常做某事，to为不定式符号。表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作或状态，暗指现在已不存在了，强调过去与现在的对比。used to的否定形式有两种：didn’t__use__to或usedn’t to。used to用于疑问句时，可借助助动词did，也可以将used提到主语前。
例如：My mother used to get up early.
改为否定句：My__mother__didn’t__use/usedn’t__to__get__up__early.
改为一般疑问句：Did__your__mother__use/Used__your__mother__to__get__up__early?
肯定回答：Yes，she__did/used.
否定回答：No，she__didn’t/use dn’t.
