Step1 Lead in
T shows Ss some pictures about the Spring Festival and asks Ss some questions:
Q1: What festival is this?
Q2: Do you like the Chinese New Year?
Q3: Why do you like it?
Q4: What do you always do during the Chinese New Year?
Step2 Presentation
1. Present the new words from the above questions and teach the new words: lion, lion dance, firework (let off fireworks), show, radio, take photos.
2. We do a lot of interesting things during the Chinese New Year. Do you know how people in New York celebrate the Chinese New Year? Please turn to page 63. Read the poster and answer my questions.
