1、掌握四会单词：happen  Mother’s Day  surprise 
2、掌握重点句子：What are you doing ? We’re having a party .
What’s happening  now ?  Tom  is  singing .
教学重难点：学会描述正在发生的事
教学准备：课件、录音机、卡片、课堂活动用书、 小卷
教学过程：
一、热身复习
1、Sing  a   song :  I’m listening to  music .
2、Listen and  do : jumping  running  reading   writing drinking driving  watching TV ……
二、课文导入
1、课件出示五月份的日历，问学生：你知道5月8日是什么日子吗？每年五月的第二个星期日是母亲节。（出示Mother’s Day ）教授新单词。
2、T: Today  is  Mother’s Day . What’s Daming doing ?大明正在给玲玲打电话，让我们去听一听他们在聊些什么呢？
三、课文教学
1、Play  the  tape  .Listen ,point and  find ‘ing’.
2、Play  it again . listen  and  repeat .  Then  teach the  new  words .
3、Read  the  text   follow  me  .
4、课件出示课文，每副图找同学领读。
5、Act the text in groups.

四、任务完成
1、总结一下 描述正在发生的事 要注意的地方。
2、发小卷，测试一下，看看学生掌握的怎样。
3、课堂活动用书Exercise 1   Listen  read  and  match 
听音，学生做  然后对答案。
4、运用句子What’ he  doing ? He’s …… 来猜一猜刘翔 和姚明在干什么？
