Unit 3 Revision

一、              Teaching aims:

1.       Revise how to identify and describe well-known places in Beijing and around the world;

2.       Revise how to use nouns/noun phrases to talk about means of transport;

3.       Revise how to use “and”/ “but”/ “or” to join ideas together;

4.       Revise how to use verbs and “to”-infinitives together;

5.       Revise how to use reflexive pronouns when the subject and the object are the same person;

6.       Revise how to use formulaic expressions to make suggestions and arrangements for a trip.

二、              Teaching procedures(具体内容看课件):

a)       Use some pictures to revise the names of interesting places;

Revise the trip to the World Park: What is it made of? What is it used for? It looks like… Use the sentence patterns to describe the pictures.

Revise the names of places of interest in Beijing: the Summer Palace  the Fragrant Hills Tian’anmen Square  the Palace Museum   Wangfujing Street  Laoshe Tea House  the Monument to the People’s Heroes  the Temple of Heaven  Beihai Park

 

b)  Revise the expressions of transportation: take a bus / by bus  take an underground

/ by underground  take a train / by train  take a ship / by ship  take a taxi / by taxi

take a plane / by plane / by air  ride a bike / by bike  drive a car / by car  walk/on foot
